911 Communications Dispatchers
Applications are being accepted for full-time dispatchers at the Scotts Bluff County 911 Communications Center.
Testing will take place in February in order to create an eligibility list for a hiring date in March.
Dispatchers work together with emergency services, first responders, and the general public on both emergencies and non-emergencies in order to ensure safety and safeguard lives and property.
Preferred skills and experience: Must be able to work through stressful situations, multitask and remain organized. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work as part of a team; provide excellent customer service. Have the ability to stay calm under pressure; strong critical thinking skills; ability to work shift work (including evenings, weekends and holidays with occasional overtime); respond to all incoming calls positively and effectively per established protocols.
Requirements: 19 years or older, High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass criminal background check, written test, and interview. Graduation from senior high school or equivalent.
